Diagnosis

Cephalon with nodes of varying size; anterior border spines 2 and 4 larger; 4 pairs of glabellar furrows; occipital furrow narrow; occipital ring with a pair of indistinct small nodes (laterally) and a pair of short stout spines; genal spines long; librigenae with wide lateral borders bearing large nodes, eye stalks tall and cylindrical. Thorax of 11 segments; axial rings 3 and 5 with strong sagittal spine-like nodes; axial rings and pleurae with a few indistinct small nodes; some pleural segments with long pleural spines. Pygidium triangular; axis with 11 rings and 3 or 4 strong sagittal spine-like nodes; pleural region with 10 pairs of pleural ribs and narrow pleural furrows.

Remarks

This species is the type species of the genus Aegrotocatellus.
