Diagnosis
Cephalon semicircular; cranidium nearly square; glabella constricted at midlength with an expanded frontal lobe, three pairs of transversely broad glabellar furrows; palpebral lobe nearly as long as the eye ridge, both stout; fixed cheek broad; free cheek narrow; Genal spines of moderate length. The number of thoracic segments may have no fixed limit, currently recorded as 103 (6+97), prothorax and opisthothorax divided by the macropleural spine of the 6th segment. Pygidium very small, parabolic.
Remarks
This species is the type species of Balcoracania.
