Diagnosis

Cephalon semicircular, wider than long; cranidium trapezoidal; glabella raised, elongate club-shaped, broadly rounded anteriorly, four pairs of glabellar furrows; occipital ring V-shaped with a small occipital spine; preglabellar field and anterior border both of moderate length; palpebral lobe long; eye ridge short; posterior border furrow broad and deep; proparian sutures; free cheek broad, without genal spine. Thorax of 9 segments; axis nearly as wide as the pleural lobes, each segment with a short axial spine; pleural furrows broad and deep, anterior pleural ribs pointed terminally, posterior ones blunt. Pygidium small, subelliptical; axis of 2 rings plus a terminal piece; border of moderate width.

Remarks

The complete dorsal shield of this species was first discovered by Liangliang Fengqing. The genus name was formerly translated as 'Dierdela' trilobite.
