Diagnosis
Specimens elongate-elliptical, medium-sized, smooth. Cephalon semi-elliptical; glabella smooth, wider anteriorly than posteriorly; dorsal furrows faint; librigenae absent; eyes absent; in some specimens a pair of "occipital pits" can be seen at the base of the glabella. Thorax of 11 segments; axis slightly tapering backward; pleural furrows wide and distinct, ends bluntly rounded. Pygidium subsemicircular; axis indistinctly segmented, tapering markedly backward; pleural region smooth, transverse furrows visible only on the anterior articulating facets; pygidial border absent.
