Diagnosis
Small trilobite, dorsal shield oval and smooth. Cephalon semi-elliptical; glabella swollen, as long as the cephalon; three pairs of deep pit-like glabellar furrows, not connected medially; palpebral lobe slender and long; fixed cheek palpebral area narrow; posterior border broad, posterior border furrow deep; free cheek small, without genal spine. Thorax of 7 segments; axis nearly as wide as the pleural lobes; pleural furrows distinct, without pleural spines. Pygidium semicircular; axi s inversely conical, of 3-4 rings plus one terminal piece; pleurae with 3-4 pleural and interpleural furrows; without pygidial border.
Remarks
This species is the type species of Eodontopleura.
