Diagnosis
Dorsal shield elongate-elliptical with subequal cephalon and pygidium, gently convex, smooth. Cranidium subsquare with slightly arched anterior margin; dorsal furrows narrow and shallow; glabella conical with pointed-rounded front, glabellar furrows 3 pairs, very shallow or faint; preglabellar field narrow to medium-wide; anterior border rather narrow, slightly protruding backward on the sagittal line (indistinct in some specimens); occipital furrow narrow and shallow; occipital ring of uniform width; fixigenae relatively wide in the palpebral area; palpebral lobes medium-long; eye ridges faint; librigenae medium-wide, small individuals with short genal spines. Thorax of 11 segments; axis narrower than pleurae, tapering gradually; pleural furrows wide and deep; pleural spines rather short. Pygidium semi-elliptical; axis narrow and long, tapering slowly, divided into 12-13 rings; pleural region wide and gently convex with very shallow pleural furrows; border medium-wide.
Remarks
This species is the type species of the genus Lioparia.
