Diagnosis

Dorsal shield slender and elongate, surface densely granulose. Cephalon semicircular; glabella long, extending forward with parallel sides then slightly constricted into a truncate-conical form; occipital ring slightly curved medially; occipital furrow faint, with deep pits on either side; four pairs of glabellar furrows, neither crossing the glabella nor reaching the dorsal furrow; anterior border narrow; border furrow shallow; preglabellar field absent; palpebral area of the fixed cheek short and narrow; palpebral lobe small, slender and long, opposite the front of the glabella; eye ridge short and straight; anterior facial suture branches short, posterior branches long; free cheek of moderate width; surface covered with terrace lines. Thorax of 16-17 segments; without pleural spines; axis gradually narrowing; Pleural furrow straight or slightly curved, deeper near the axis, shallowing outward, not reaching the distal end. Pygidium small; Axis including one to two axial rings and a terminal segment; Pleural furrow distinct; Postaxial field flat and smooth pleural furrows straight or gently curved, deeper near the axis, becoming shallower outward, not reaching the outer ends; postaxial area flat and smooth, with an inverted V-shaped notch medially.

Remarks

This species is very similar to Protoryctocara cylindrica Zhou in Zhou et al., 1977.
