Diagnosis

Dorsal shield elongate-oval. Cephalon semicircular; glabella large and broad, cylindrical, broadly rounded anteriorly, with three pairs of shallow lateral glabellar furrows; occipital ring raised, broad medially and narrowing laterally; occipital furrow narrow and deep; an terior border furrow narrow and deep; border narrow and raised; palpebral area of fixed cheek narrow; palpebral lobe rather long; free cheek rather broad, genal spine rather slender. Thorax of 8 segments; axis slightly narrower than the pleurae, each segment with an axial node; Pleural furrow broad, pleural spines short. Pygidium longitudinally long, subtriangular; Pygidial axis inverted-conical, divided into eight rings plus a postaxial ridge, each ring with axial node; Pleural region with seven pairs of pleural segments, pleural furrow relatively broad and deep, interpleural pleural furrows narrow and shallow; pygidial border narrow, with eight pairs of short pygidial spines.
