Dorsal shield elongate-oval, generally somewhat larger than in P. lantenoisi. Cephalon semicircular; cranidium subquadrate, wider than long; glabella distinctly convex, slightly expanded anteriorly and slightly constricted at midlength; with four pairs of glabellar furrows; occipital furrow narrow and deep laterally, shallow and broad medially, occipital ring widest medially, its posterior margin sometimes bearing a small occipital node; eye ridge rather long; palpebral lobe of moderate size; fixed cheek broad, posterior limb relatively short; inner and outer borders of nearly equal width; outer border convex; free cheek of moderate width, genal spine rather long; anterior facial suture branches diverging outward, posterior branches directed outward and backward. Thor ax of 14-15 segments, axis smooth or with median nodes; pleural lobes slightly wider than the axis, pleural spines short. Pygidium small, semicircular-oval; divided into two segments; border narrow and flat.
