Diagnosis
Dorsal shield smooth. Cranidium trapezoidal; glabella subtriangular with pointed-rounded front, only one pair of glabellar furrows visible; occipital furrow interrupted medially; fixigenae broad; palpebral lobes supported by slender eye stalks; eye ridges long and faint; anterior branches of facial sutures short, posterior branches long; librigenae narrow. Pygidium inverted-trapezoidal; axis with 4 axial rings and 1 terminal piece; pleural furrows distinct, interpleural furrows faint; border flat; border furrow faint; 7 pairs of marginal spines, pair 1 long, pairs 2-5 acute denticle-like, pair 6 exceptionally long, pair 7 on the posterior margin of the terminal area, serrated.
Remarks
Parablackwelderia is the earliest trilobite with stalked eyes.
