Diagnosis
Cranidium gently convex, surface with crescentic terraces, ornament weaker or absent in the posterior half; dorsal furrow shallowing forward; glabella transversely constricted at the level of the eyes, widening rapidly anteriorly; Some specimens show weak muscle scars, with short, faint lateral glabellar furrows outside the scars; palpebral lobes semicircular, large, situated in the posterior half of the cranidium; fixigenae transversely narrow and band-like; librigenae without genal spines, surface largely smooth. Thorax of 10 segments; axial furrows absent; pleurae bluntly rounded distally. Pygidium convex, surface with fine terraces; axis indistinct; pleural ridges faint.
Remarks
This species is the type species of the genus Rhaxeros.
