Diagnosis
Cephalon parabolic. Glabella short, anterior part subsemicircular and slightly protruding, covered with large conical nodes; palpebral lobes with faint small nodes at the anterior ends; 19 rows of lenses, up to 6 lenses per row. Thorax of 11 segments; axis subequal in width to pleurae; axial rings with faint small nodes. Pygidial axis of 8 rings, 5 pairs of pleural ribs.
Remarks
This species is the type species of the genus Adrisiops; the distinctive curve of its anterior border looks like a smile.
