Diagnosis

A small proparian trilobite with ovate, smooth dorsal shield. Glabella cylindrical, slightly constricted forward, with three pairs of faint glabellar furrows; occipital node present; palpebral lobes long; librigenae nearly square. Thorax of 14 segments; axis about half the width of the pleurae; pleural furrows shallow and faint. Pygidium small, posterior margin with a deep notch.

Remarks

This species is the type species of the genus Burlingia, with a maximum body length of about 8 mm.
