Diagnosis

Cephalon subsemi-elliptical; glabella strongly convex, sides gently converging forward, anterior part converging rapidly and bending strongly downward-forward, meeting at an obtuse angle; a pair of subovate deep pit-like glabellar furrows in the posterior part of the glabella; palpebral lobes narrow, band-like, dorsal furrows narrow and deep; eyes crescentic in dorsal view, meeting at an obtuse angle beneath the front of the glabella, each compound eye of about 870 hexagonal lenses. Thorax of 5 segments; axis strongly convex, tapering backward. Pygidium subsemicircular; axis strongly convex, of 1 axial ring and a terminal piece; pleural furrows faint, but with 6 pairs of ridges extending to the outer margin of the pygidium; border furrow shallow, border medium-wide.
