Diagnosis
Cranidium subsquare; preglabellar field slightly depressed, medium-short; anterior border medium-wide, slightly upturned; anterior border furrow wide; glabella convex, subcylindrical to truncate-conical with broadly rounded front; with three pairs of shallow glabellar furrows; occipital ring wide medially; occipital furrow shallow and wide; dorsal furrows wide and deep; fixigenae narrow in the palpebral area, strongly convex; eye ridges distinct; palpebral lobes long. Pygidium semicircular to semi-elliptical, surface with dense fine nodes and sparse large nodes; axis short and stout, with 5-6 axial rings and a short terminal piece; pleural region with 4-5 pairs of pleural ribs, pleural furrows shallow and wide, interpleural furrows extremely shallow or faint; pygidial border wide and flat; 7 pairs of marginal spines, the first pair very long, the sixth second, and the last pair shortest.
Remarks
This species is the type species of the genus Gangchengia.
