Diagnosis
Surface smooth except for the axis. Cephalon semicircular; glabella subrectangular to trapezoidal with four pairs of glabellar furrows, S1 and S2 distinct, S3 pit-like, S4 faint; occipital ring with a small median node; eyes large; eye ridges short; librigenae wide with short genal spines. Thorax of 10 segments; axis with two rows of nodes; pleural furrows wide, pleural spines short and hook-like. Pygidial axis with 6 rings plus a terminal piece; pleural region with 6 lateral spines.
Remarks
Karslanus leishuae is the first damesellid trilobite reported with 10 thoracic segments.
