Diagnosis
Glabella subrectangular, glabellar furrows faint or absent; dorsal furrows deep; fixigenae as wide as the glabella; librigenae narrow with extremely long, backward-curving genal spines; palpebral lobes semicircular, at the mid- posterior part of the cranidium; anterior border very wide and gently convex; anterior branches of facial sutures diverging slightly outward-forward then running in an arc along the cranidial margin, posterior branches short. Thorax of 10 segments, pleurae straight with pointed distal ends, pleural spines short. Pygidium subsemicircular apart from lateral spines; axis narrow and conical; a pair of lateral spines arising between the first and second pleural rings, their size and shape varying with growth stage.
Remarks
This species is the type species of the genus Guangxiaspis.
