Diagnosis
Cephalon and pygidium densely tuberculate. Cranidium and glabella both trapezoidal; 3 pairs of glabellar furrows, S1 and S2 deep, S3 shallow; occipital furrow deep; occipital ring wide medially; palpebral lobes medium-sized; eye ridges faint; fixigenae wide; anterior border narrow. Pygidium subsquare; axis long, reaching the border furrow, with six axial rings plus a terminal piece; pleural region wide with deep pleural furrows; first and second pleural rings extended into lateral spines; border furrow shallow; border medium-wide.
Remarks
This species is the type species of the genus Kaolishania and the first trilobite to appear on a postage stamp (China, 1958, Special Issue 22).
