Diagnosis

Dorsal shield elongate-elliptical. Cephalon subsemicircular; three pairs of lateral glabellar furrows, S1 deep and oblique backward, S2 short and shallow, S3 faint; preglabellar field long; palpebral lobes long, crescentic; librigenae wide, with short pointed genal spines. Thorax of 9 segments; axis wide; pleural furrows deep, pleural spines absent. Pygidium semi-elliptical; axis conical; first pair of pleural furrows distinct, the others gradually faint; border wide and flat, border furrow shallow.

Remarks

This species is the type species of the genus Latiproetus.
