Diagnosis
Dorsal shield long-ovate. Cephalon semicircular; glabella stout and short, constricted medially, front rounded, reaching the anterior border; 3 pairs of glabellar furrows, S1 oblique and long, connected to the occipital furrow; occipital furrow deep; occipital ring slightly protruding medially; fixigenae narrow; anterior border narrow and flat; eyes convex, medium-sized; librigenae gently convex with a ridge-like swelling near the eyes, border wide and flat, genal spines absent. Thorax of 9 segments; axis rather wide; pleural furrows distinct, pleural spines absent. Pygidium semicircular; axis convex, of 11-12 rings, tapering gradually backward to the pygidial border; border wide and flat with a distinct border furrow.
Remarks
This species is the type species of the genus Mahaiella.
