Diagnosis
Dorsal surface smooth, cephalon and pygidium considerably effaced. Cephalon nearly round, strongly convex; glabellar frontal lobe absent, posterior part distinctly convex, with glabellar median node; basal lobe small, triangular angular; border furrow and border extremely narrow. Pygidial axis relatively narrow, with a very small node; border furrow distinct; border widening slightly backward, sometimes with very short posterolateral spines.
Remarks
This species is the type species of Lejopyge, typical body length about 0.2-1.2 cm, the GSSP index fossil of the Cambrian Miaolingian Guzhangian Stage.
