This species is very similar to Lejopyge laevigata, the main difference being that the cephalon and pygidium are more elongate and shield-shaped, narrowing more strongly forward in the anterior-middle part, with the anterior margin parabolic shaped; border furrows of cephalon and pygidium very shallow, borders not raised; dorsal furrow of the pygidium developed only beside the first axial ring.
