Compared with the type species Lioparia blautoeides, the main difference is the presence of short stout genal spines on the librigenae; additionally, the cephalon is wider and flatter, the preglabellar field shorter, and the thoracic pleural spines more curved, the pygidial axis shorter and the pygidial border wider.
