Diagnosis
Body often relatively large. Glabella divided into three segments, frontal segment nearly pentagonal, anterior part of posterior segment with a long median node; basal lobe large, triangular; cheek with irregular radiating furrows; Border wider in front, narrower behind. Thoracic axis similar in width to the glabellar base. Pygidium subcircular, posterior part rounded; axis broad, divided into three rings, first two rings with longitudinal axial nodes, posterior axial ring divided by a pair of shallow Longitudinal furrow divided into three parts, composed of two rows of elongate small pits; border furrow shallow and broad, with a pair of short marginal spines.
Remarks
This species is the type species of Lotagnostus, body length about 0.2-3 cm, an index fossil of Cambrian Stage 10. The enthusiast strongZJU first discovered a complete pyritized specimen.
