Diagnosis

Surface smooth. Glabella large, convex, truncate-conical, with a low median ridge on the sagittal line and 4 pairs of shallow glabellar furrows; occipital ring with a small median node; preglabellar field narrow, anterior border rather wide and convex, a triangular posterior spine extending backward from the sagittal line; fixigenae rather narrow; palpebral lobes medium-long, arcuate; librigenae slightly wide with medium-length genal spines. Thorax of 9-10 segments, pleural spines short. Pygidium large, semicircular to semi-elliptical, posterior margin flatly rounded or slightly concave medially; axis rather long and narrow, with 4-5 rings and a terminal piece; border narrow to medium-wide, slightly concave, without a border furrow.

Remarks

The main locality of this species in Linyi, Shandong, was discovered by the fossil enthusiast Zuoshanling (Tang Yonggang), which greatly promoted the popularisation of trilobite collecting.
