Diagnosis

Cephalon semicircular apart from genal spines; glabella slightly constricted between the eyes, with a distinct median node posteriorly and a pair of small nodes between the eyes in front of it; glabellar furrows absent; occipital furrow shallow; eyes medium-sized; anterior branches of facial sutures slightly divergent; librigenae wide with genal spines of wide base. Thorax of 8 segments; axis narrower than pleurae; pleural furrows distinct. Pygidium semicircular; axis with 9 rings plus a terminal piece; pleural furrows shallow; border wide.

Remarks

This species is the type species of the genus Mioptychopyge.
