Diagnosis
Dorsal shield long-ovate. Cephalon semicircular; glabella smooth with rounded front; palpebral lobes medium; librigenae wide with short genal spines. Thorax of 8 segments, narrowing backward; axis narrower than pleurae; pleurae with distinct pleural furrows and rounded ends. Pygidium semicircular; axis long-conical with pointed end reaching inside the border, divided into 8 rings plus a terminal piece; pleural and interpleural furrows distinct; border wide and flat.

This species was assigned to the genus Niobides by Prof. Peng Shanchi.
