Diagnosis
ovata Glabella narrowing forward, median lobe cylindrical with expanded front, two pairs of large lateral lobes; occipital ring raised upward medially with a pair of long occipital spines; palpebral lobes small; librigenae wide, border with fine spines shortening from back to front and closely spaced, genal spines long and slender. Thorax of 9 segments, axial rings and pleurae with raised nodes or short spines; each pleura with one short and one long pleural spine, lengthening from front to back. Pygidium wide; axis of 2 rings; pleural region extended into a pair of large pleural spines dividing the marginal spines into three outer pairs and two inner pairs.
Remarks
This species is the type species of the genus Odontopleura.
