Diagnosis

A small opisthoparian trilobite. Cranidium subtrapezoidal; glabella inflated, becoming rounded anteriorly; three pairs of glabellar furrows; occipital furrow deep; occipital ring with an occipital spine; fixigenae narrow in the palpebral area; palpebral lobes long; eye ridges short; librigenae narrow with long genal spines. Thorax subsquare; at least 8 thoracic segments present. Pygidium subovate; axis slender and long, with 4-6 rings plus a terminal piece; pleural lobes swollen and kidney-shaped.

Remarks

This species is the type species of the genus Pemphigaspis.
