Diagnosis
Cranidium wide, length less than the width of the anterior cranidial margin; glabella with parallel sides and 4 pairs of glabellar furrows; anterior border extremely narrow, upturned, nearly horizontal; anterior branches of facial sutures making a 45-degree angle with the axis; eye ridges short and distinct; palpebral lobes large, at the transverse midline of the cranidium; fixigenae about half the glabellar width; librigenae and anterior wings with radiating irregular fine ridges, genal spines short and small. Thorax of 9 segments, pleurae wide. Pygidial axis with 6-7 rings and a terminal piece, reaching the posterior border posteriorly; border wide and slightly concave; lateral spines rather short and small.
Remarks
This species is the type species of the subgenus Proceratopyge (Sinoproceratopyge).
