Diagnosis
Cephalon strongly convex, subsemi-elliptical; glabella swollen, longitudinally elongate, with parallel sides in the posterior two-thirds, then converging forward, anterior part strongly bent downward; a prominent median node at the middle of the glabella; palpebral lobes narrow, band-like; eyes large and convex, elongate, not connected anteriorly, ovate in lateral view and subsemi-elliptical in dorsal view, each eye of about 2000 polygonal lenses. Thorax of five segments; axis wider than pleurae, strongly convex, gently tapering backward. Pygidium semi-elliptical; axis conical, gently convex, of 3 axial rings plus a terminal piece; postaxial ridge prominent; pleural ridges visible in some specimens; border furrow narrow; border narrow.
