Diagnosis
Compared with the type species Selenopeltis buchii, this species has a distinctly narrower axis relative to the pleurae, longitudinally shorter thoracic segments with less forward-curved pleural ribs; the pygidium is longitudinally longer, subtriangular, with more strongly recurved pygidial pleural ribs and a longer postaxial area.
