Diagnosis
Isopygous opisthoparian trilobite with elongate-elliptical, smooth dorsal shield. Cephalon semicircular apart from genal spines; glabella subtrapezoidal, weakly convex, glabellar furrows effaced; occipital furrow effaced, occipital ring indistinct from the glabella; dorsal furrow faint; anterior border transversely triangular; palpebral lobes arcuate and convex; fixigenae wide in the palpebral area; librigenae wide with wide lateral borders and stout genal spines; anterior branches of facial sutures slightly divergent forward, crossing the middle of the anterior border; posterior branches extending backward and slightly outward in a gentle curve. Thorax of 8 segments, axis narrower than pleurae; pleural inner parts horizontal, of uniform width; pleural spines short. Pygidium semicircular and convex; axis long-conical with many rings; pygidial border wide; two lateral spines present in meraspid and early holaspid stages.
