Diagnosis
Cranidium subpentagonal; glabella long club-shaped, four pairs of pit-like glabellar furrows, not connected to the dorsal furrow; occipital furrow pit-like laterally; palpebral lobe small; eye ridge long; proparian facial suture; free cheek small, without genal spine. Thorax of 6-8 segments; axis straight, narrower than the pleurae; pleural furrows broad and deep, pleural spines short and small. Pygidium large; axis stout; pleural and interpleural furrows distinct; without pygidial border.
Remarks
This is the type species of Shergoldiella and the first oryctocephalid trilobite reported from Africa.
