Diagnosis
Cephalon semicircular, genal spine bases broad, sometimes long; glabella clavate, frontal lobe transversely expanded, narrowest at S1, with three pairs of very shallow glabellar furrows; border and border furrow broad; palpebral lobe crescentic; shaped, close to the glabella. Thorax of 16 segments, prothorax and opisthothorax undifferentiated; 3rd segment without macropleural characters, 15th segment with axial spine; pleural furrow broad and shallow, ending at the base of the pleural spine. Pygidium usually obscured by the Obscured by the 15th-segment axial spine; details unknown.
