Diagnosis
Dorsal shield elongate-oval, longer than wide. Cephalon semicircular to semi-elliptical; cranidium sub-trapezoidal; glabella convex, elongate-cylindrical, only slightly tapering forward, with three pairs of furrows connected at midlength; palpebral lobe of moderate size, situated opposite the midlength of the glabella; anterior facial suture branches rather short, meeting the axis at about 40°; posterior branches long, directed outward and backward Extending; Free cheek broad and flat, genal spines relatively long. Thorax long, gradually tapering backward, 14 thoracic segments, each with weak axial node; Pleural lobes flat, pleural spines regularly becoming longer. Pygidial axis convex and elongate-columnar, rounded at the tip; a pair of long spines extends backward on either side.
Remarks
This species is the type species of Zhangshania.
