Diagnosis

Dorsal shield smooth, with concentric terrace lines on the border. Cephalon semicircular; cranidium gently convex; anterior border flat; glabella long, broadly rounded and constricted anteriorly, preglabellar furrow distinct, a median node at the posterior part of the glabella, with four pairs of ovate faint glabellar furrows; palpebral lobes semicircular; occipital ring narrow, occipital furrow deep; anterior branches of facial sutures widening forward then smoothly curving inward, meeting at an obtuse angle; librigenae wide with genal angles rounded, without genal spines. Pygidium wide, semicircular; axis gently convex, faintly indicated, with about 8-9 rings; pleural furrows faint, articulating facets triangular; border wide.

Remarks

This species is the type species of the genus Zhiyia.
