Diagnosis
Body elongate-oval. Glabella large, tapering forward, anterior end rounded, with two pairs of long glabellar furrows; Eye long, extending from anterolateral side of glabella backward-outward, turning inward and reaching the posterior border furrow; Border Narrow and short, depressed; Fixed cheek about half as wide as the middle of the glabella; Free cheek narrow, genal spines of moderate length. Thorax of 13 segments; Axis very broad, narrowing backward, axial rings with a median node; Pleural region narrower in front, broader behind, pleural spines gradually lengthening from front to back, 12th and 13th pleural segments small without spines, 11th segment very large. Pygidium semicircular, axis about two-thirds the pygidial length, divided rings indistinct, pleurae slightly wider than the axis, unsegmented or only faintly segmented. Image-based distortion restoration of the type specimen of B. elongatus yields a shape identical to B.
Remarks
kueichouensis, proving it to be a junior synonym of the latter (Peng Shanchi 2020).
