Diagnosis
Dorsal shield elongate-oval. Cephalon semicircular; glabella conical, with three pairs of weak glabellar furrows; occipital furrow shallow; inner and outer borders of nearly equal width, inner border slightly concave, outer border gently convex; palpebral lobe of moderate size, eye ridge rather weak; fixed cheek narrow, posterior limb triangular; anterior facial suture branches diverging outward, posterior branches directed backward and outward; free cheek broad and flat, genal spine stout. Thorax with 14 segments; pleural regions similar in width to the axis; pleural spines rather long. Pygidium small; axis convex, short and broad; pleural lobes narrow and flat; bearing one pair of scissor-like pygidial spines.
