Diagnosis

Cephalon wide, surface with small tubercles; glabella barrel-shaped with two pairs of glabellar furrows, the anterior pair small, the posterior pair large and strongly recurved back to the occipital furrow; preglabellar field absent, anterior border very narrow and upturned; occipital furrow relatively shallow; fixigenae relatively narrow in the palpebral area; librigenae medium-wide with long genal spines; palpebral lobes opposite the middle of the glabella. Thorax with 12 segments, axis of nearly uniform width; pleural furrows distinct, pleurae extended into pleural spines, those of segments 3 and 7 extremely long. Pygidium with the first pair of lateral spines large and long; the remaining 6 pairs of small spines shortening from outer to inner; marginal border absent.

Remarks

This species is the type species of the genus Bergeronites.
