Diagnosis
Cranidium transversely wide and cap-like; glabella subsquare, strongly convex, with three pairs of glabellar furrows; dorsal furrows narrow; occipital furrow straight; occipital ring enlarged medially with a small occipital node; anterior border very narrow, preglabellar field absent; palpebral lobes decreasing in size with growth; eye ridges faint; fixigenae narrow in the palpebral area, posterior border furrows wide and shallow; librigenae wide with long genal spines. Thorax of 12 segments, axis tapering; pleurae wider than the axis, pleural furrows deep; pleural spines rather long, those of segments 3 and 7 being macropleural. Pygidium semicircular apart from pleural spines; anterior margin straight; axis convex, divided into four axial rings and a long triangular terminal piece that narrows rapidly; pleural lobes wide with deep pleural furrows; a pygidial spine arising from each pleural ring, the anterior ones large and stout, followed by six pairs of triangular spines, and the last pair small.
