Diagnosis
Dorsal shield somewhat circular. Anterior glabellar lobe strongly expanded, constricted medially; three pairs of glabellar furrows, S1 and S2 crossing the glabella; centre and posterior part of the anterior glabellar lobe with fine, irregularly arranged granular nodes, the rest of the body and both cheeks smooth and spineless; coarse spines along the anterior and lateral margins of the cephalon, arranged symmetrically. Thorax of 11 segments; pleural ends with coarse pleural spines. Pygidium triangular; axis with more than 45 rings; pleural segments 14-16, ends with stout marginal spines.
Remarks
This species is the type species of the subgenus Coronocephalus (Senticucullus).
