Diagnosis
A large phacopid, up to 17 cm long. Glabella densely covered with large nodes; compound eyes large, 18 rows of lenses, up to 6 per row. Thorax of 11 segments; axis slightly narrower than pleurae, densely nodose; pleurae with smaller nodes. Pygidium smaller than the cephalon, densely nodose; axis with about 10 rings.
Remarks
This species is the type species of the genus Drotops and is of enormous size.
